Founder & CEO, Xion Motors
Ali Horuz arrived in San Diego in 2003 with $500 and no English. In 2005 he founded VIP Pedicab, growing it into the largest commercial pedicab fleet in the United States — 130+ city-permitted pedicabs in San Diego, part of a 1,000+ pedicab national network. During COVID, rather than lay off his team, he built Xion Motors: he raised $1.18M on Indiegogo for the CyberX e-bike, electrified his entire fleet, and turned a single-city operation into a vertically integrated electric mobility company. His work has been featured on CNN Business and GoDaddy's entrepreneur series.
