Pedicab axle motor conversion set

Convert a compatible traditional pedicab to electric with the Xion Axle Motor Conversion Set. Includes motor, axle assembly, controller, and all hardware needed for a complete electric drivetrain upgrade. Bolt-on installation once we confirm fit (see the fit note below).

It is the same drivetrain Xion builds into its commercial electric pedicabs, and it comes with U.S.-based technical support. The battery and charger are sold separately; ask us for the matched 72V pack.

How the conversion works

1. Confirm fit. Send your frame and axle details and we confirm the kit will bolt on.
2. Swap the rear axle. The motorized transaxle replaces your existing rear axle. A competent bike mechanic can do it with our guidance.
3. Wire the controller. Connect the controller, throttle and battery. Our U.S.-based team can walk you through it on a support call.
4. Ride. Throttle and pedal assist let one driver carry a full passenger load through a shift, hills included.

Kit or new pedicab?

A conversion makes sense if you already own a sound pedicab frame. If you are starting from scratch or building a fleet, a new 3-seat electric pedicab ($13,500) arrives road-tested with the drivetrain already set up and is covered by a 2-year frame warranty.
