Branded pedicabs that move guests and grow the app

Zaxby's ordered two 3-seat electric pedicabs from Xion Motors to give guests free rides at events. Every panel carries the Zaxby's brand and a QR code that opens the Zaxby's app, where riders unlock complimentary offers.

The brief

Move guests. Grow the app.

Zaxby's wanted to be useful at events, not just visible. Guests at festivals, games and big gatherings walk a lot, and a free ride from the parking lot or between venues is something people remember.

The brand also had a clear business goal: more people using the Zaxby's app. So the vehicles had to work as transportation and as a direct-response ad at the same time.

The build

Built to order, wrapped for the brand

We engineer and assemble every Xion pedicab in San Diego. Both units are our 3-seat electric pedicab, built to order in the Zaxby's colors with a red frame and a blue rear shell.

How the QR code works

From the seat to the app

The rear panel faces the crowd behind every ride, and the side panels face anyone the pedicab passes. Each panel tells people exactly what to do.

  1. See it

    The wrapped shell rolls through the event and puts the Zaxby's logo in front of everyone on the route.

  2. Scan it

    Riders and people nearby point their phone camera at the QR code next to "Download the App".

  3. Redeem it

    The code opens the Zaxby's app, where customers unlock complimentary Zaxby's offers.
